Contract Law

Pacta sunt servanda – agreements must be kept.

We do not view our role as lawyers as being limited to providing legal advice, but further and importantly, as supporting the realization of our client’s commercial objectives. This is best achieved through a well-drafted, binding agreement.

This is true for all areas of our practice, whether the transaction is concerned with sales law, contracts for work and services, distribution law, licensing law, company and partnership law, group company law and transformation law, or employment law.

Both the relevant legal framework as well as our client’s commercial goals form the basis for the:

  • Conceptualization of draft contracts;
  • Negotiation of terms with the intended contracting party;
  • Enforcement of contractual rights; and
  • Defence of claims based on breach of contract.
